Man…
This is great
Life really is cyclical.
Spielberg was there as well both times
So many years. Hard to believe sometimes it’s been so long.
Hats off
Fuuuuuck sometimes I forget how hot Ford was in Indiana Jones
Time for love Dr. Jones.
I didnt know he was that child…. damn!
I know it’s probably not going to happen. But it would be cool to get Shortround in Indie 5 just for the reunion.
Love this
-Indi!
…hugs…
That was one long hug.
We all waited 38 years for this.
Wholesome as fuck
I’m not crying.
Cambodian refugee camp to winning and Oscar !
It’s good to see you again, Doctor Jones
This needs to go r/mademesmile
Makes me smile.
Way to go there, Shorty!!
Just checked and Ke Huy Quan has more Oscar’s than Harrison. Harrison gotta be up there with Tom Cruise for one of the greatest never to win an academy award.
Do you think they kept in touch
With Spielberg and Kate Capshaw present I really hope they did a little Temple of Doom reunion afterwards.
That scene in ToD makes me tear up every time. I’d argue it’s the only moment in any of the films where Indy shows genuine love for someone other than himself.
Even in Last Crusade I’d argue any of the scenes where he’s saving Henry are more about obligation.
I also love that ToD is a prequel to Lost Ark, and you see Indy go from a devil may care, cocky asshole tomb raider to someone who’s learned a lesson and has a firmer grasp on what’s important, and I’d argue Short Round is the one who taught him that lesson.
Short Round is the rightful successor to Indiana Jones, no question about it.
Time for love, Dr. Jones
“Hey, lady, you call him Dr. Jones!”
I’ve been lightly reading about the Oscars, but this pic made go “omg that dude who won was a Goonie!!”

Dr Jones, I got the treasure
Would be cool to see shortround return in the new indiana Jones film
Hopefully he burns him and Ford snaps out of the trance that’s allowing Indy 5 to happen.
This gives me all the feels

…and then, many years later, we were all saved by the pinchers of power.
Indy I love you!

I had no idea it was Short Round!
Excellent!
Mannnn i hate that these guys are old
Love how Harrison Ford is a grumpy ass old man when he has to talk about any major/popular project he’s famous for.
The one exception being Indiana Jones. Dude gets very emotional about it and I love it

more present version from someone in the audience
As an adult who grew up loving Ke Huy Quan in Temple of Doom (not to mention Goonies), and also loving Indiana Jones and EEAAO…this hit hard. What a beautiful loop.
I shed a little tear at that moment.
I watched “Everything…” with my Mom. Whe she saw him she immediately said: “Isn’t that the kid from the Goonies”?
We watched The Goonies ages ago and I didn’t notice it was the now grown up kid. I mean it’s 40 years or something between those movies.
I keep forgetting he was in an Indiana Jones movie. I always remember him for being in “The Goonies” before anything else. Loved that movie when I was a kid.
This is easily the best thing about the Oscars.
I’ve seen this everywhere in my feed and I will happily upvote every single one.
I always thought the Indiana Jones movies should have been continued with ke instead of a son he never met.
I love so so so much how absolutely joyful and gracious Ke Huy Quan has been throughout this awards season. It’s amazing seeing someone so genuinely happy and humble after finally achieving the success they longed for.
