I powered through AC Valhalla precisely because of what I paid but that was a slog. I’m pretty picky about games so I don’t tend to buy ones i don’t play but maybe Astroneer, it’s the only one I can think of recently where I was so confused by the introduction that I just gave up.
Most of AAA game are very expensive and short or filled with redundant things to increase the total possible gaming time. You should try the opposite question.
Hem. I think maybe Metroid Dread most recently. Played until the first Emmi section and stopped immediately. Maybe 20 minutes total time lol. Decided that was a mechanic I disliked. So that’s $60 for 20 minutes.
On the opposite side of the scale I got Skyrim when it launched for $50 and have thousands more hours played in that game than some others that I have clocked hundreds of hours. Granted most of that is because of mods and playing around with them but it’s still playing the game.
For me easily Far Cry 5. Full price and played for an hour = 69,90€/hour
No clue. Bought so many games over the years, only to never play them. Cannot remember which cost the most.
I paid like, $25 for a used copy of Witcher 3 on the Switch. I now have like 500+ hours of playtime over 4 playthroughs.
Also, I paid nothing for Dwarf Fortress and have spent almost as much time playing it.
Factorio $60nzd 570hrs
It’s tied between MW2 and BF2042 I think. Payed 90 bucks for both, have played at most 10 hours on each game.
Especially sad for the Battlefield game since I have around 3000 hours over Bad Company 2, BF3 and 4 and prolly around 700h on MW2019
ITT: People not being able to fucking read so far lol
CS:GO
I spent 20 dollars on gmod and got about 600 hours on it which is 1 dollar every 30 hours but its probally more on a game i don’t want to say
Does that mean the least cost per hour or the most cost per hour

I almost never buy games at full price, but I think Dragon Quest 11 is the best answer to your question.
Probably… Elden Ring? $7.00/hr
There’s a bit of a lull for me rn… maybe I’ll pick it up again
1284 Steam Games… Nothing more to say here.
Destiny.
Pre-ordered and what a waste of 4 hours that turned our to be

I recently found out about the Anno games.
I had 10 hours playtime on the first day I installed 1404, my first one.
I think it’s safe to say that these games are going to be the one.
Easy. War thunder and World of Tanks. (I regret playing them)
FarmVille

AC Valhall 330 hours
if i bought rdr2 for 34.99 and i divided that with 300 then 0.116€/hour
Cyberpunk.
Only game I ever preordered (mainly to encourage the developer). Played it 30 minutes.
About €120 an hour at this point.
Highest? Or best? I have games I never got around to playing like FF7. And games like Elite where I paid <1c/hr.
Lost ember 4 hours to finish it asking price 30 $
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater
