Hakeem did it twice 😲
“Folks, take a look at that because I don’t know if you’ll see that again this year or for the next few years. Those are some numbers.”
The blocks alone is an incredible game. 44 players in league history have done that. Throwing in the rebounds, points, and assists makes this a truly special performance.
Real ones know Duncan had one in the ‘03 Finals
Not only was this the last time it was accomplished in the NBA, but it was the 2nd time it was done by a Spurs player. Alvin Robertson did it against the Suns also during a home game (Hemisfair Arena back then). And Hakeem Olajuwan did it twice only 26 days apart. Insane.
THE ADMIRAL
Can’t believe Draymond could’ve had one but couldn’t get to double digit points lol.
Clyde Drexler almost had 2 of them – 1 rebound away once and 1 assist away once. I believe the 9 assist game was proven he should be credited with an extra assist, but the NBA stuck with the original scorekeepers judgement.
Warm fuzzies hearing the old Pistons announcers, having grown up in the Detroit area during the Bad Boys years. Although not surprising Robinson murdered the ’94 Pistons. That team was not good.
Larry Bird’s near-quadruple double in Utah in ’85 was even more impressive.
30/12/10, and 9 steals. Played 33 minutes and sat out the entire 4th quarter. When informed going into the 4th he was one steal off a quadruple-double by coach KC Jones he shook his head & headed to the locker room.
When asked by reporters after the game:
> “I already did enough damage. Why go for it if we’re up by 30?”
> “That’s not why I play.”
Before his back injury; the Admiral had hops. You never knew when you were throwing the shot up if he wasn’t going to get to it.
Mama, there goes that man.
You’re telling me that Westbrook never had a game with 10 turnovers during his triple double averaging seasons?
Lol at the last second shot. Might cause a fight in today’s NBA
