I just have to say: I am so tired of these highly literal songs about self that are so popular in the pseudopunk scenes.
the composition is boring
the lyrics are solipsistic and insistent of a meaning they refuse to offer for lack of examination on behalf of the writer, and the message is so fucking played out and old-hat that it suggests the writer has either not vested interest in this ground being covered, or (morelikely) is completely aware and unembarassed to write a less poignant musing on the same formula
the mixing is stale – vocals too present (again, nagging at the ear to listen to hear the lyrics more than anything else), bass is absent if not too mid-heavy, and the splashing drums are genuinely rough on the ear in that they’re too piercingly pitched
Getting some definite Kirsten Hersh vibes. Fun song

also the video sucks
Can’t say I enjoyed it, but thanks anyhow. I do really like the singer’s side profile?
