His shorts and socks look more 78 than 85. Hair is spot on for 85. I’m gonna say there’s a Motley Crue or Van Halen tape in that car.
My god, my first car was also a ’78 Camaro. It made 185hp from it’s 350 v8.
Now I drive a 2020 Miata. It also makes 185hp.

Do you remember the trim level?
Graduated HS in ’83. I still say our generation had the best cars. Trans Ams, Z28’s, Mustangs, Monte Carlos, Chargers, Road Runners. Even Novas (my ride) and Dusters could be hot rodded fairly cheaply. We were the second or third owners of all those models.

I had that exact car. Mine was a dark chocolate brown with buckskin color stripes down the sides. It was so awesome.
Edit. It costs the insane amount of $7,200 brand new. But it was worth it!
