Awesome clip. Though I get vibes like we’re going into his head, like into the Sunken Place from “Get Out” and inside he’s just thinking about that cold beer and warm bed after the concert.
Amazing.
Thunderfingers! I saw him a few times live with The Who and he always blew me away.
Watched for five minutes before i realized it was a 1:10 loop.
There’s a handful of guys I try to imitate on the bass. The Ox is one of em. Fuckin Legend.
one of the five or so music related videos on youtube i watch every few months
Keith, Roger and me play Rock. John plays Bach, stated Peter Townsend.
Him and Geezer. My 2 favorite bassists.
Wow!
That sick run down damaged the frames
I remember reading that he always considered himself a lead guitar player who just happened to play bass.
You take for granted base guys every once in a while with all the flairs for lead guitars and drummers and such but then someone throws The Ox out there and you remember how fucking talented they can be. Oh that rich sound.
Amazing.
So many sunn cabs
I had a buddy who always said The Who had no lead guitarist – that Entwistle did that work. (And Townsend was the greatest rhythm guitarist ever.)
The Who > The Beatles > The Rolling Stones
Entwistle is maybe the most underrated bassist of all time. He was incredible.
Saw him with his own band at The Grizzly Rose in Denver, they blew the power out.
Great song writer too, Had Enough, is an overlooked Entwistle classic on the Who Are You album.

One of the few people I’ve been star-struck by, he and PT came into my old restaurant job after playing the Garden in NY…nice guy.
In terms of musicianship, the Who were so stacked at each spot. Just listened to Quadrophenia again today (for the millionth or so time) and it is just about a perfect album.
