You don’t even need the dome lid on the new one. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
I think Burger King has just given up now – has anyone actually gone into one to actually get food and not just use the restroom night last 3 years?
The one by me is so empty I think it’s closed.
Lost me when they went to coated fries 20+ years ago.
This’ll be headline news on some shitty tabloid site by tomorrow.
One by my work recently closed and has a for rent sign up now. They’ve definitely gone down hill.
Or maybe it was just the person that made it that day. I’ve gotten shakes and whatnot that some days are filled to the rim and some days are short. You can’t take this as an example as every Burger King in the world.
Plus, one has whipped cream on the top which makes it appear taller, when the other one doesn’t
This is definitely a case of different employee standards, not company requirements. Mine have never looked like that on the right.
Saw this post with the exact same title yesterday (mildly infuriating I think)
Perspective + are you sure you got the same size
is it the same location? There are 2 BKs near me, and their quality is vastly different.
Probably need to see a ton more samples before drawing a conclusion. Hashtag statistical significance
Even the one on the left has always tasted like trash now we’re just getting less trash
So for some reason, you took a pic of a shake a year ago, saved it and then took another pic this year. Really?
They cut costs, cut quality, raise prices, and produce less. They had a tiny excuse to take advantage of the market, and one guy did it, so all the rest did it. We should be seeing, at most, a sub 5% increase in costs. Instead we’re getting more than 30% in some areas.
You’ll be fine.
Companies are finding ways to save money but doesn’t pass the savings to the customers.. this is why our economy is so shit
Solution: stop wasting your money on overpriced garbage.
I, for one, welcome shrinkflation because it makes me less of a fat ass without requiring much effort on my part.
People eat at burger king?
“Sure we’re paying our employees better, but I needs my yachts!!” – King of Burger King
Chef of many years here. So most restaurants use a quarter pound hamburger patty for the kids cheeseburger on the kids menu. This will run you about $4.99. You also get fries with this and a soda will run you an extra $1.50. So for the meal with tax you’re looking at about $7. A quarter pounder meal at McDonalds is about $10.
Amazing how quality keeps getting worse and prices keep going up
Haven’t been back since they got rid of the spicy Chking. ‘‘Twas a sad day.
I got served a half ass milkshake like that from steak and shake and the manager was livid when I handed it back and demanded a refund
You should have went to DQ!
on the bright side: less plastic, fewer calories.
Anyone buy a McD McFlurry recently? They are ALL doing this.
“We got new cups”
Right one looks like it either melted or they forgot the whip cream that’s a significant headspace there.
The McDonald’s I go to doesn’t even stir their McFlurry anymore. It’s just vanilla soft serve with oreo crumble on top.
I mean personally, I’d just ask them to put more in.
I don’t snack a lot or generally eat these type of things but being a popcorn lover I have noticed snack sized bags are less full and cost more. It’s all bullshit. I started popping my own corn at home
Burger King just isn’t very good all around
Maybe inflation is a good thing. It’ll stop people from thinking they should be eating the shake on the left
Beeeeee K, shrinkflation’s okay!
Shrinkflation is a thing
Fast food is such a rip off now. Im always so disappointed when I make the poor decision to go. It wasn’t so bad when it was affordable but now most combos push you over 10 bucks
Do people order these things as a meal replacement? That has to be pushing 1000 calories.
If inflation keeps its effect on the food industry, Americans will get reasonable portions and be out of obesity by 2050.
It’s total garbage anyhow, both years. Best to delete it from your life.
Good for your health man, maybe Americans collectively start benefiting from this “Shirnkflation” ,your asses might shrink a bit too.
Why did all the fast food places all suddenly decide to add the whipped cream and bullshit to their shakes around the same time? I just want the normal amount of diabetes. No need for the extra on top. Also, that 2nd photo is usually what you get when you request it without said bullshit.
Everyone replying here, but do we even know what the OP is implying? Is it smaller, or is it larger? The perspective of the photo makes it impossible to tell the size!
