This reminds me of the time my grandmother (who’s Japanese and doesn’t read a lick of English) brushed my sisters teeth with sunscreen. Both tubes were right next to each other on the counter.
I asked my 14 year old to fill up my 3 year olds cup a few days ago. He comes back and says “Okay I gave her some of that green juice.” She takes a sip, almost turns inside out. The “green juice” was a gigantic bottle of lemon juice that the label peeled off of.
As far as I remember, every brand of baby food, including the organic natural bullshit, was tested
The results were something like 60x the FDA limit for heavy metals in most of them. I fed them to my child, and whose to say how that will affect him. He was already speech delayed.
Im still pissed, and genuinely wondering what the FDA actually does if this was allowed to get this bad.
I don’t even know for sure if it’s fixed. All the reports just sort of stagnated with no word on it being taken care of.
Update: “The FDA started a program called Closer to Zero in 2021 to address the issue. So far the agency has released only drafts of guidelines around lead in juice products and has blown past its own deadlines for lead guidelines for other baby foods. And ultimately, the agency is not issuing strict regulations, only guidances, which make enforcement optional. ” from a bloomberg article.
I am American of Polish descent, I grew up on horseradish and chili sauce. So that would make a good choice. However as a parent my daughter is 6 and still doesn’t like horseradish. I feel like I’m failing as a Dad.
True story: Our 6mo old daughter (now 16) was rushed to the Children’s hospital straight from our Pediatrician’s office after the Nurse was concerned with extreme discoloration in the hands and feet. After 12hrs of waiting on tests a young intern asked us what we feed our daughter. We said all she wants to eat is squash baby food and rejects almost everything else. He heads back to talk with the resident. We’re discharged an hour later. $2100 bill after insurance for them to tell us we have to vary her diet a bit more.
TLDR: Squash baby food makes baby hands and feet orange.
Babies love Horses.
I would have said “feed the baby to what” but I don’t have kids and it shows
Teach ‘em early that just because it looks like good food doesn’t mean it’s good food.
Look at OP, solving the age-old issue of how to clear a baby’s sinuses.
P.s. horseradish is out of date, better feed baby that first before it goes funky.
How is your baby’s German?
Never too early to put hair on their chest. One order of creamy horsey baby food coming up!
Is it a human baby? Or a small horse?
I once accidentally gave my toddler a sippy cup full of unsweetened iced tea. He was not amused.
Little prime rib too maybe
Have you asked the baby what flavor?
creamy goodness
Banana
Creamy style horse radish.
Babies love horseradish – it super charges their shit
Funny story – I once accidentally added five times too much garlic to a batch of hummus and the only one who’d eat it was our baby.
how much hilarity do you want to ensue?
Babies love horseradish! (PS-I have no children, so I am just guessing)
H is for Health
And Horseradish
What could go wrong?

You want your kid to be strong as a horse don’t you?
When in doubt, always the horseradish.

So the FDA hasn’t done shit about it.
You don’t know when it’s time to feed your own baby and your wife has to ask you? Awkward.
You need to be asked?

Sad she had to ask you to feed your own child.
