I expect a poor game, because it was developed by the FFXV people (which sucked). Not to mention Squeenix’s track record has been pretty awful for a while now.
I was super hyped for this when first footage was shown when it was nameless and before “that” trailer released, The demo kinda set it in stone for me. 2 things.
– Talking wristband was probably implemented because the world feels kinda empty, That features been toned down now I think?
– The range of activities shown in demo seemed to be your regular ubisoft collect-athon. Chests upon Chests.
For me that seems more fluff than fun.
I think it’s going to be a rough couple years for open-world action games. Elden Ring set the bar high mechanically and now people expect 60FPS as well. Genre-adjacent games are going to *need* something that sets themselves apart, and I don’t think Forspoken has sold many people on either its narrative or fantasy parkour.
I cancelled my preorder of this game literally just a few minutes ago. It *looks* fun to me. I played the demo and had a good time, but a lot of the combat didn’t really pick up until you’re in a boss battle. I WANT to play it, but I’m not exactly sure about it. I don’t wanna spend $69.99 on a broken game. Or a game that ends up like Ghostwire Tokyo.
There’s 3 types of people actually. The 3rd type quietly waits for reviews of the final game, then makes a calm informed decision whether to buy it or just move on to something else without blabbing all over in the comments.
I understand the game doesn’t look promising, but why am I seeing people say this game is “woke” on youtube? 😭 like what is woke about it? having a non-white lead? 🤦🏻♂️
I mean, yeah the world did look graphically good, but at the same time the gameplay was fucking miserable and the world felt incredibly empty. I was on the fence, but after playing the demo, it’s a hard pass.
Wtf 80€ for game, no thanks. I was looking forward to play this game, watching all trailer what have come out, but now when i see price, not gonna happen.
We love in a day and age where you absolutely need to wait for a game to be reviewed by your favorite youtuber. Buying a game on day one is increasingly irresponsible to do. You can’t trust a trailer OR a gameplay video unless its past release date and made by someone totally unrelated to the company.
I mean both opinions are valid. I actually line up with the first opinion myself. What I witnessed while playing makes me think the writing lines up pretty well with what I saw in Saints Row 2022 or shows like Resident Evil on netflix(2022) and or Halo the tv show. The mc being a hipster(not quite sure how to describe, saying fuck all the time maybe) character just ruins it for me. The character seems so shallow. Now I guess the character could grow in the main game, but the character displayed in the demo just turned me off. I have been dying for a Isekai game from my obsession with light novels recently. I am skeptical this game will give me that.
The demo killed my brother! I will have my vengeance!
Forspoken and Hogwarts are the 2 games coming up that I hope meet expectations. I’m trying to contain my hype
I will never understand some people’s need to shit on games they don’t like.
I got bored in the demo too

looks good and plays bad, wouldn’t be the first game that that describes.

I liked the demo so I’m getting this.
Person #1: The game isn’t fun
Person#2: The graphics are good, so the game was good
I know which person I am.
Gonna be amazing forspoken
Second post was 100% a bot.

Your powers are nail polish lol

I had to turn the dialogue off in the demo. It was wretched. I physically cringed at a couple of lines, and I hate using that word.
The movement was fun, and the magic wasn’t terrible. But the writing was *”Holy shit! What were you thinking?”* levels of bad.
I’m just mad I can’t play it on my preferred platform for two fucking years. There is absolutely no reason for that.

Be the smart type that waits for reviews and decide
People that liked the demo and people that didn’t?

It’s so hard to find any reviews helpful anymore to be honest. Everything is so polarized.
Yes the objective guy and the one who never touched a videogame in its life.
i mean they both can be right. Dude said the game *looks* good. Doesn’t mean it plays good.
Order 1886 comes to mind for games that look good but is actually garbage, and or meh.
Theres a couple others but they’re loved by a subset of vocal gamers so i wont say much else.
Im saving my money for Hogwarts Legacy.
This one’s a “on sell” game for me.
3 kinds:
Wait there was a demo??
Just dont assume something wil be fun and well designed just because you find it pretty
I played the demo and i don’t know if anyone feels the same but it felt weird moving around like it didn’t feel right at all
Wtf 80€ for game, no thanks. I was looking forward to play this game, watching all trailer what have come out, but now when i see price, not gonna happen.
You do what you want except preorder.
For the sake of gaming, please don’t.
The demo didn’t do the trailers any justice. The game world looked bland and grey unlike what we saw before.
Everything I’ve seen for it makes it look like shit tbh. Doesn’t help that the whole “isekai” thing is an instant turnoff for me either
One was probably talking about the gamelan while the other was talking about graphics
On ps5 it wasn’t looking too good, felt sloppy and 30fps with a ton of film grain and it doesn’t even impress me or did anything fun.

The demo actually did kill any interest I had in the game personally, but I will wait and see what the reviews say, who knows.

I played the demo and will get it next month along with hogwarts legacy.
It is certainly going to be one of the games of 2023.
That’s the whole point of games demo. So you can try before you buy.
This will be meh. Usually when you see both side appears with vast numbers, the game comes out in the middle ground.
The duality of man
Two people.
One tells the truth and one lies.
You know who tells the truth.
