Yep and it peaked with 4. But I still enjoy the series.
Heck yes resident evil one will always be my favorite
My favorite game trilogy. Good times indeed.
I played re2 on the n64.
Oh dear sweet Jesus I feel old… and I’m only 31… god damn kids
Yes, it was important to have a knife ready at hand, otherwise the zombie under the desk would fondle my scrotum. Learned that the hard way.
I really want to buy back an OG pS1 (sold it for gas money in college) but not sure it’s worth it since I can emulate all the games.
Anyone else feel this way?
Where is this gaming desk supposed to be?
LAN Party at a really violent dance club? Lol
I played RE1 brought by friend, on another country. The game was for another TV system (NTSC vs Pal). So me and my brother had to play in another friend’s house cause we needed a TV with a Scart input and we also had to buy the cable… Suddenly this looks like the 80s but it was just 1997…
I still got my ps1
Ah yes, I have many great memories of nights spent next to my lantern, with typewriter and shotgun close by. Warms my heart to think of… thank you, son.
Best intro ever…

Super Important Games.
Huge impact on gaming and society.
Controllers, and control schemes have come so far since then.
Those tank-style controls had to be at least half the difficulty and half the fear/tension.
PS 1 was such a huge jump for gaming
Incredible time
It was the best of times… It was the best of times
So good
Wasn’t ALIVE then?
………well damn I feel old.
Awww yes the originals.
Was all about Tekken 3 and Tony Hawk Pro Skating for me.
Resident evil 2 would give you night sweats worse than waking up to DAWGGG THE BOUNTY HUNTAAA
Minus the shotgun, knife and typewriter. Lol
I’m having a banger with them now. I installed a psx emulator on my phone and its good to play old classics I never got the chance to play back then
What are you buying, stranger ?
Ps1 was awesome, favorite games were legend of dragoon, Spyro and crash team racing
We did.
PS1 and PS2 days were the best. Lots of innovation in games and very diverse games with unique ideas. The fact that gaming was relatively new in those days probably helped too, seeing as how you haven’t seen a lot in games, plus the graphic upgrades between generations was much more noticeable. But, since games were less mainstream then I feel like developers were allowed more to try their own thing out and felt less inclined/pressured to go with whatever was in vogue at the time. My favorite game from the franchise is RE2, while RE1 is closely behind. I did not like the direction that RE4 took ( felt way too actiony), but when looked at a few years after I really grew to like it, especially when compared to the following games in the franchise (re5 and 6 felt more like action games, than survival horror). Looking forward to the RE4 remake.
