It’s not just Twitch, but a late trend across many platforms. For instance, YouTube removed the ability to sort by older content. Twitter (namely Elon) announced they will restrict your ability to view content unless you accept their terms on selling your data (name, phone number) to advertisers.
Companies are discovering they can earn more advertising revenue by restricting user options and steering traffic.
The victims are small-time streamers, content creators, and viewers who are only interested in a particular genre or artist.
If you base your viewership on a click bait model, that tries to encourage interactions and a personal connection to the presenter, then you are asking for trouble. “Look how hot I am and I am totally interested in you and what you say”…. except I’m not and I don’t ever want to see you. The presenters are just sending out a bunch of mix messages to a socially awkward audience. Twitch is great for the, hang out with friends and kick back and relax feeling, but for things like dating and relationships, your better off going to pornhub.
There is no fix to the stalking issue since the only real enforcement is either Twitch banning the streams which seem to be a negative because the stalkers broadcast their location and behaviors and that is very valuable information or they have to deal with local laws which are very poor when it comes to dealing with stalkers.
Not a whole lot of recourse there that is any good. Though stronger anti stalking laws would be great.
Are people so clueless as to not understand that live streaming inherently has an absolute shit ton of issues when you put your face and environment on the stream? This is like the epitome of the stick in your own bike wheel meme. Here is a 400 IQ move, don’t put your face on stream. If you ignore that advice, don’t have a surprised Pikachu face when it comes back to bite you in the ass. Relying on the platform to fix or prevent any of the said issues is like relying on your drug dealer to wean you off that dope habit….
Pretty pointless video tbh. All the topics discussed were extremely superficial touches on the most well-known/publicized stories. Waited 26 minutes for something interesting or well researched and it never came.
The research for this video was probably reading reddit comments from a “what’s the creepiest thing that has ever happened on Twitch?” post.

lul, be sure to donate and like and give money so he’ll show up.
when you live your life online you’re bound to find crazies and the more they ‘cry online’ for donations about it the more they will show up.

As some people say “further down in to the iceberg”. That old classic saying.
If I recall that Yuber guy only got known because he cried about it. He wasn’t good at gaming. You can get lucky but you have to keep entertaining.

Twitch needs to be banned from the internet
