I didn’t realize TSO are a bunch of washed up metal dudes (Savatage) until while seeing them live some guy just starts shredding for fundamentally no reason.

TSO is my most played Christmas music. When I first heard this it seemed revolutionary and fresh. I will admit that it might be a bit dated now, but still one of my favorites.

Their concerts are bananas. Lazers, fire, tesla coils.. You know, the traditional Christmas stuff.
My wife was sick, so my mother went along with me. She thought we were seeing Mannheim Steamroller. She was confused for a while.
I used to see them every year , some of the best shows I’ve ever seen
This band, the Sonics, and Bob Dylan are my favorite Christmas music recording artists. The only way to make better Christmas music would be for Bob to sing a Christmas duet with Mariah.

Their current lighting designer is one of my favorite LD’s.
He ran STS9s lights for 20+ years.
If you have the chance, go see them now. You won’t be disappointed.

I must have caught them on an off night or at a venue with poor acoustics but when I saw them about 12 years ago they were awful. I was so excited for the show but it’s the only concert I’ve ever walked out of.

They’re an astounding collaborative work.
The image in my head of their formation is a mountaintop hotel snowbound with a couple of choirs, a small orchestra and a heavy metal band jamming to entertain themselves and the rest of the guests.
Of all the concerts I’ve been to this was the best hands down.
Just saw them last night. Great show!

Wife and I had the distinct fortune and pleasure of seeing them play live in concert about eight years ago. Man, what an experience. We still talk about each year around Christmas. If you ever get the chance to go, do it.
