I remember walking up King St i the early 80’s, and all the PC companies, IBM, Apple, Zenith, Osborne, etc has their offices there, and their goods on display. I think that walk was what caused me to think about getting into the IT industry, where I am still today.
Possibly a 1410. Two 1403 printers, 1402 card reader/punch, a line of 729 tape drives and an OCR (or MCR) device on the left. Don’t take my word for it, it is over 50 years since I saw one. The one I knew had a whole 80k storage!
Who bought computers in the 60’s?

Gorgeous photo but I keep seeing it as an establishing shot and expecting it to cut to a close up of Don Draper as the guy staring in the window.
