My dad used to do this. We’re in the photo, but his car was always in the background. Began to realize we were the props for the car. And yes, in the sixties and seventies he was a Pontiac man.
Hopefully that GTO is still around, that pic screams “I’m a black GTO!” lol. Chrome reverse wheels where the thing then and now. As a late 60’s born kid with a dad and uncles who had cars with them. I find myself building period correct looking muscle cars with them, and the occasional five Rader or Supreme spoke mags or slotted Ansen’s if I can find them.
In Chapter 2 of the ‘NEW DADS HANDBOOK’, P.3, paragraph 2, it clearly states: “Upon attaining fatherhood with the birth of a child, the new father is required to divest himself of any & all sporty cars, motorcycles, jet skis, or other items that are used for fun or enjoyment, & must, within 3 months of the child’s birth, purchase a station wagon, van, or other vehicle which may be used by the woman of the household!
If you didn’t know, there’s people who do photoshop work to remove things like the creases in this photo. My uncle used to do it, it can be really amazing.
This one’s in pretty good shape though, probably not worth.
No offence, but it’s more like a photo of the GTO with you in the foreground
Both his pride&joys in the same photo.
?
Your dad probably has a secret second family.
That is emphatically NOT a stock GTO. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
