Why do they have headlights?
They tested those for about a year in my hometown quite a long time ago. I ordered our lunch from Subway and they delivered to my front door.

They’re adorable but the more I look at them, especially the fourth one, it looks like a Mars Rover for mouse drivers.
I’m not sure how people afford to live paying for delivery all the time.

These are also all over the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis.
I’m from a college town in east central indiana and the local campus has these guys delivering food from one of the big cafeterias.
Do they shoot to kill?
So cool, we have these by my house. One of them got hit by a train unfortunately 😭

I’ve seen these food delivery robots all over Santa Monica. Am I crazy to be disappointed when I found out they were manned by remote workers? D:

I work in behavioral health, and recently I had a client with schizophrenia who kept saying that she was being chased by R2D2. Her care team thought it was a hallucination, but we eventually figured out that she had been at a local university campus recently and had seen the food delivery robots.
I see some of them around sometimes too. Once one of them beached itself on a kerb so I went and lifted it back on to the pavement and it went on its way.
I must say they look cute, but that’s how they get us!
Was it past human curfew?
I assume they are travelling in single file to hide their numbers.
