They’re really just going through every game possible for this, now if they somehow get a BLJ in there? I’m sold.
I’m still not entirely sold on Chris Pratt’s Mario but Charlie Day’s Luigi is fantastic
Peach looks like she will be a standout. Finally she’s a cool character and not just yelling ‘Marriioooo’.
Also Charlie Day as Luigi is amazing casting.
Looking forward to seeing how they managed to make kart racing a plot point

I definitely take back any criticism on Peach’s design from yesterday; she looked a million times better in action and basically exactly like what I was hoping for.

Wow, they’re really going IN on these references. I’m sure there’s more jam packed in there but, I did NOT expect to see Peach in her racing outfit AND be the one to pretty much instigate fighting against Bowser. She’s actually like a leader! Makes sense since this is her Kingdom and the rod are fish out of water.
… I like Peach, okay?
Actually kinda liking Luigi being the one needing to be rescued.

DK’s retrofitted design looks really good, designs in general work well for more expression. Hopefully future games also adopt these types of models
That whole Mario Kart scene definitely seems like the very end of the movie, or maybe right before the finale
Peach sounds and behaves more like how I imagine a Princess Zelda adaptation.

Based on the trailer. Im predicting the following will happen:
Mario and Luigi while on one of their jobs end up getting sucked into a portal that takes them into Mushroom Kingdom.
But while going through the portal they get split up. Mario ends up near Peaches Castle and Luigi ends up near Bowsers.
Peach explains to Mario whats going on and how Mario got there through the multiverse. She will help him train so he can save Luigi.
He fights Donkey Kong to possibly get an item he needs or to recruit DK’ s ppl to fight Bowsers army. The Mario cart is probably another way for Mario to gain an item to help him fight Bowser.
I have a feeling Luigi will be mostly sidelined till the 3rd act. Spending most of the film watching Bowser destroy other armies.
Mario and his allies fight Bowser and beat him. But instead of killing him I think they imprison him.
I can’t wait to play Super Mario Bros the Movie the Game.
It seems like what they are doing with Peach and the Toads is similar to the dynamic between Princess Bubblegum and the Banana Guards in Adventure Time.
