This is a picture of Harold Stassen. He was elected governor of Minnesota when he was 31 years old. He resigned as governor to serve in the Navy during World War 2. After serving in World War 2 he helped found the United Nations. He ran for president 10 times.

When I was growing up in the 1960s, “Harold Stassen” was another way to describe someone who kept doing something over and over with the same (negative) result. It was also a way to call someone a failure. He was still running for President well into my adulthood!
Dude was a liberal who marked with mlk. Shame he never returned to office post ww2. Looks like he had potential to do some good
