Seriously. The most popular Youtubers should be the ones who just get to the point.
same reason I skip out on all the online recipes that feel the need to tell me about their childhood trauma before telling me how to make a damn pot of soup.
Not gaming related but nothing is as fun as looking for a TV or a movie trailer and instead of getting the trailer, you see 3 people on video “reacting” to watching it obnoxiously.
Like who actually watches that shit? It feels like if someone intentionally seeks out those videos they should be associated with some mental disorder.
2 minutes of intros, then 2 min of the sponsor or ad, then 4 minutes of talking about what your about to show and random bs, then another 2 min of the same shit, then the actual thing we want to see… that’s like 95% of all how to or tip videos for games now unfortunately
I don’t like how many of them say hit that like and subscribe button before the video’s content even starts. Just ask us to watch the video and ask if we liked it to not forget to show that we did.
Yet my quick videos of showing the puzzle answers. Even the ones that change each game play like dishonored 2 did…gets 10 views..or someone comments saying so and so does it better and they have the same intro.
For all you youths out there, this website still exists and is easily the best place to go if you’re stuck.
Why watch a 30 minute YouTube video when you can jump right to it with a quick ctrl-f? Added bonus, you don’t see the entire thing happen, spoiling even more of the experience for you.
I grew up in an age of text walkthroughs with ASCII diagrams of what things looked like. I feel SO old and grumpy looking for walkthroughs and just seeing a sea of video guides. I don’t want to watch a fucking video. I just want gamefaqs back.
And it’s not actually a walkthrough, it’s just a “Let’s Play” that is 2 hours long and they don’t actually know how to solve the puzzle. They end up wasting 30 minutes on it getting nowhere until they look up a walkthrough, which they then show the video of on their stream.
The worst I’ve come across was average annoying commentary but when they got to the puzzle I was stuck on they ended that episode in the middle of a tomb, then the next episode they started off standing on the ledge I didn’t know how to get too.

Yo yo yo smash that like button! Nord VPN!!!! Ye ye subscribe and smash that like button!!!
Woh smash that like button guys!
The video guides that say “no talking” or “minimal talking” are doing the Lord’s work.
I used to handwrite walk-throughs in the 90s from magazines and the internet. Times have certainly changed… for the worse with these losers.

Partially why I still stick with GameFaqs and written walkthroughs.
I’m old. I’m from before YouTube. We used to write walkthroughs down in text.
I love when I can find a GameFaqs walkthrough instead of going to youtube.
Preach.
I always look for the channels that have no commentary! I even turn ads back on for them!

The face of disgust, I’m dead.
This comic made me realize that I watch a lot of youtube on mute.
You forgot the ads
youtubers like this are the geocities of youtube.
1. Google search video game walkthrough, part where you’re stuck
2. Add Reddit
3. ???
4. Profit!!

lmao, remember when they sold walkthroughs as books. I’m getting old.
Not just games, everything really. Doesn’t matter if you want to take apart a laptop or a car, half of the videos are like this.
I usually avoid guides because YouTube loves to fuck me over with spoiler videos in my recommendations.
Fuck these type of people
This is exactly why I prefer written guides.
I’m never going to smash the like button or ring the bell. Never ever.
This is why I don’t go to YouTube regardless.
PowerPyx is your friend
Minimal commentary, covers damn near any trophy/achieve under the sun
Yet my quick videos of showing the puzzle answers. Even the ones that change each game play like dishonored 2 did…gets 10 views..or someone comments saying so and so does it better and they have the same intro.
It’s to the point where I won’t watch a video if it doesn’t have time stamps to let me skip through the bs
PowerPyx anyone?
[Gamefaqs](http://www.gamefaqs.com)

I’d rather read the 10 page wiki article on the puzzle/quest to figure it out
The folks still updating gamefaqs are the real MVPs.

I’d rather scroll through a txt file witch Ascii art
The best ones are the guys who sound depressed and get straight to the point.
I fucking miss WRITTEN FAQs. I can easily process the info faster in text than digging through a 20 min video for relevant info.
Skip skip skip, watch how to solve it.
“Wow i am dumb.”

Whoever made this cartoon has played D2 and looked at a Rick Kackis video.
Agree. This is so annoying. Or when the top most walkthrough video consists of a ton of trial and error…
