Just because i’ve heard it many times on podcasts and review videos: 1998 was THE year of gaming history. The true peak.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time / Half Life / Starcraft / Resident Evil 2 / Metal Gear Solid / Pokemon Yellow / Tekken 3 / Spyro / Banjo-Kazooie / Medievil / Baldur’s Gate / Parasyte Eve / Grim Fandango / Xenogears / Marvel vs Capcom / Gex the Gecko / F-Zero
Also the birth of Unreal Engine with his Unreal saga. A good f*cking year.
Definitely a big year in gaming.
