Many years ago I used to give out cans of PlayDoh. Kids loved it. Now I live in a place that never gets trick-or-treaters, which feels weird.
I had some kid bitching about sweet tarts, lemon heads and starburst. You know, the sweet tooth candies. Still took it though. I was at our neighbors house so when the first bucket ran out I replaced with a big bucket of chocolate candies, and some pre-teen girls took every last one just minutes after I set it out. The look of disappointment on the few kids that came up after them was heartbreaking. If I were home I would have found something for them. I hate what Halloween has become. Some kids are so sweet and innocent, even teenage boys. And some are so rotten and entitled. I’ll never set a bucket out again. If I can’t be home we’ll be lights out.

This is why halloween has not taken off in other countries, like here in Australia it’s normally 80 degrees and the sun is up till 8:00pm, some parent drag little kids around with face paint melting down their little faces and heat stoke setting in, mostly it’s just tweens with no costumes and a plastic bag asking for freebies. In my area there are a few American expats and the parents put a ballon in the letter boxes a few days before. If you want to participate, put the ballon on the letter box so kids know it’s open for candy.
I happen to really enjoy a Ritz cracker.. great buttery goodness, fantastic with cheese, bit of salami or even as is.
For those of you upset and or saying how unthoughtful I am to have left peanut butter ritz, im going to kill kids with nut allergies, or that Im a dick for not leaving candy, let me clear the air. There was a bucket of candy including sour candies, lollipops, small chocolate bars, and some bags of peanut butter ritz. Sorry if I offended you by not leaving cheese ritz, assorted meats and cheeses or celery sticks. Also, a lot of chocolate candy also has peanuts, if you cant have peanut butter, nuts, or sour candies than I am sorry I didnt think of the dietary needs of complete strangers.
Seriously though, I probably will leave some toys for kids next year instead.
Also, the point of the video wasn’t to call this kids out or anything, I just thought the reaction was absolutely hilarious and that others would get a kick out of it. Wether the kid is spoiled, trying to impress his friends, or just a turd, I really dont care. I was a teenager not too long ago myself, and just thought this was an unexpected and funny reaction.

Tbh I don’t really know why all the older kids are trick or treating anyway most of them aren’t even in costumes. I took my five year old trick or treating and there were packs of teens in street clothes taking all the candy it was pretty shameful. 🤦🏻♀️
