Strays are everywhere in Turkey except that they aren’t really strays in what we think of in the west. They are well looked after over there. As if they just become neighbourhood/community pets and everyone in the area feeds them. When I was there pre-covid, I didn’t find a single malnourished stray because of this. I found Iran to be the same as well.
