>A retelling of the famous Carlo Collodi fairytale about a wooden puppet who comes to life and dreams of becoming a real boy takes place in 1930s Fascist Italy. When Pinocchio comes to life, however, he turns out not to be a nice boy but instead the opposite, causing mischief and playing mean tricks. But at its core, Pinocchio is “a story of love and disobedience as Pinocchio struggles to live up to his father’s expectations, learning the true meaning of life.”
Cast:
* Gregory Mann as Pinocchio
* Ewan McGregor as Sebastian J. Cricket
* David Bradley as Master Geppetto
* Christoph Waltz as Count Volpe
* Tilda Swinton as the Wood Sprite
* Ron Perlman as the Podestà
* Finn Wolfhard as Candlewick
* Cate Blanchett as Sprezzatura
* Tim Blake Nelson as the Black Rabbits
* Burn Gorman as the Don
This honestly looks so much better than what Disney put out it’s not even funny.
Like they actually put some thought, creativity, and passion into re-telling an existing story in a new exciting way instead of simply re-hashing a beloved classic with some over-the-top CGI BS.
I love it, I adore it, I am crazy about it. Seriously, I like the poster a LOT….it portends a much darker (and more faithful to the book) version of Pinocchio which is what one would expect from Del Toro. I hope delivers on what the poster promises!

I’m excited for this. I haven’t seen a new Pinocchio movie in hours.
I heard there were seriously four different versions of Pinocchio coming out in the next year, including this one and the Disney one.
Double you tee eff
Edit: and, not in. Bloody voice typing
I’m getting FMA vibes from this picture
If Pinocchio isn’t giving your children nightmares it’s a failed adaptation. This looks promising!
Aw yeah gimme that weird shit Guillermo
pinocchio faces the edltrich horrors.
I love it. That creature is sooooo guillermo del toro
This is apparently co-written by the guy who made Over the Garden Wall, so to say I’m extremely hyped for this is an understatement
Gay twink Pinocchio is still my favorite
Del Toro showing Disney how to adapt a classic
Is that a Lammasu in the doorway?
I hope the first bad pinocchio movie doesn’t turn people off from seeing this one
This poster looks straight out of Full Metal Alchemist.
I have a strong feeling this will be better than the other version that just came out.
Anything and I mean anything, that guy directs, produces and writes, I’m in. Always entertaining and thoughtful.
FINALLY a new Pinocchio movie. I’ve been waiting for what seems like…weeks.
it’s look like deer god from momonoke princess
Finally, a biblically accurate blue fairy.
I rather stare at this poster for 2 hours than watch the latest disney remake
Excited to watch this and Henry Selick’s *Wendell & Wild*.
I love it, I adore it, I am crazy about it. Seriously, I like the poster a LOT….it portends a much darker (and more faithful to the book) version of Pinocchio which is what one would expect from Del Toro. I hope delivers on what the poster promises!
Pin’s Labyrinth
Shadow of the Colossus?
Certified %100 Tom Hanks free
Is Tom Hanks in this one, too?
/s
I cannot wait for this to wipe the fucking *floor* with Disney’s soulless version.
Ok this movie actually looks like it could be amazing.
We are so lucky to have Guillermo del Toro.
Why does this look like it’s going to be a million times better than disneys copy pasta?
Dude… hear me out… Guillermo DT… remaking The Never Ending Story
