Kinda unrelated but are we heading to phase where all the blu ray disc movies will be trash now because they were 1080p since the 4K movies are a thing now.
This was the first R-rated movie I had ever seen, mom took me to see it in 1972 and I felt so grown up, I was shocked by the language and brief nudity–wasn’t used to that in movies. I thought Godfather II was equally good, both movies won Oscars.
Amazing when I was a kid/teenager how many misconceptions I had about The Godfather being so boring and yet now it’s my favorite film of all time with the second being fairly close behind. May actually be the only film I’ve ever seen that I’d consider to be completely flawless, I’ll never get tired of watching it.
Umm.. yes

My dad saw it in theatres when it came out. He was 12, what a madlad.

Leave the gun….take the cannoli
Returning to theaters on February 25th and on 4K UHD on March 22nd!
Some prefer the sequel. But Pacino steadily and ruthlessly rising to power in the latter half of the original is cinema at its finest to me
50th Anniversary 4K limited theater release in Dolby Vision beginning February 25th!
I’ve seen the film at least 20 times, but never in the theater. This is awesome!!!

Al Pacino let’s his eyes do the heavy work in Part 2 and it is absolutely amazing

I’m curious at the changes for Coda. I wonder if it’s possible to salvage 3
