EverQuest was something special. I’ve been gaming longer than most of the people on this sub have been alive, and I say this with full confidence, no game was better than EQ. To this day, I game, chasing what I had in EQ, and nothing comes close.
And I think I’ll die before I play something that will.
I don’t even think I was a pre-teen when I got hooked on Everquest. I used my neighbors older brother’s account to play for free. I remember sitting on the family computer in the living room using a split keyboard while my parents watched X-Files. They absolutely hated the “clicking”. Sometimes so late in the night I would hear them wake up and I’d turn the monitor off and hide under the wooden desk. My mother would ground me and leave for errands. Only to drive around the block then sneak into the back yard to catch me playing through the sliding glass door as soon as she left.
I remember an older halfling druid in my guild that would tolerate me. Looking back the guy was a saint for doing so. He had a virtual “thing” for another guild mate. Later they had an in-game marriage. Next thing I know he tells me he is moving across the country to try it for real with them. Sure enough they got married in real life. Which was completely unheard of.
This was a 10 year addiction for me. Some of the best gaming, people, tactics (high level raids) all in an ever expanding world. Finally tapped out after the 12th or 13th expansion. Still have former guild mates that reach out to see if I’ll ever come back to the game.
I played this game when I was extremely young. I have two memories and they’re both fairly hazy. The first was me getting absolutely savaged by knolls because ei was just wondering around the world instead of questing /leveling. The other was creating a Troll? Maybe an orc, idr and there being an snow area. I eventually played eq2, and it was fun, but I couldn’t get into it.
Fun fact, the 30th expansion to EQ is coming out next month. Players are still blasting this game on TLP and Live servers and the game’s 25th anniversary is coming up in March!
EverQuest!
there wasn’t enough computational power so the devs had to carefully pick and choose how to distribute the finer details
I love EverQuest, such an awesome and nostalgic game.
EQ was something crazy and a very poorly timed game released right as I hit college. RIP my grades 💀
Not enough computation power to finish clothing.
The bread maker in my town is like this, every time I’m shopping alone she shows me her bikini pictures and flirts 😆
I take any opportunity to say this:

They actually hired fans lol

What a wild time to be alive.
at first i thought the barrel was strapped to her back
Old School EQ is freakin insane. Probably the hardest game I’ve ever played overall
Tbf Beth Breadmaker had some cracking buns

Get this nostalgic pic out of my face. I don’t want to download EQ for the 100th time (too late downloaded Quram).

Those tits defying laws of physics
Looked like she was carrying the barrel on her back, I was even more confused.
I miss tiddies in gaming. It’s all confined to Chinese Gachashit now unless you specifically mod it in.
When did it become the norm to give every woman you design an enormous jawline?
Triagular tits were rad back then.
Great, great memories with Everquest
Fennin Ro represent!
EQ?
It looks like Tombraider lol
Probably rolling in the dough
Lol that game is still around too and has a really active player base
Isn’t this EverQuest?

man I always got lost in that damn city
95% of animation budget for development of 3D breasts? Sounds about right.
What’s up with the barrel?
