My sisters put this stuff on my jet black hair when we we’re young. My hair turned a burnt orange color so I shaved my head. Last time I was their brother Guinea pig
My mom would put that shit in my hair multiple times a week to keep my stupid blonde bowlcut hair until I finally made her stop and my hair was dark brown like a year later
I used this in the 80s. There was another one with a different name and it was straight bleach. Totally fried my hair to the point it was gummy and I couldn’t pull a comb through it. I thinking it was called Summer Blonde (?) Good times!
Noice!! I used this stuff all summer in the 90s. Loved rocking my blond hair and puka (sp?) shell necklace
The model all the way on the left must be someone’s neice or daughter. How does that expression make it onto the final pkg?
90s high school for me
I used this all the time in high school. I can smell that picture.
Used this all the time in the 80s. The chances that this stuff was a carcingen is like 110%. It smelled like cancer.

DIY not super cancerous sun in:
Make strong chamomile tea. Really strong. Add lemon juice, some salt and a very small amount of hydrogen peroxide. Done
this advert has just brought the smell back!
I used the ad all summer in the ‘80s…
…oops…wrong sub.
My mom tells the story of putting lemon juice in her hair as a kid during the summers for a similar effect. (See also: OldSchoolCool)
Unless you were already blonde, it didn’t turn you blonde, it was an unnatural orange
I tried this stuff but it didn’t really work for me.. I think they still sell it
Loved the stuff
Guilty! Used it all the time back in the day. I came into this world blonde and I’m leaving it the same way lol!
The summer look, all year long!
Ah, memories of orange hair.
I really hope all of my hair doesn’t fall out because of this crap but still doing ok so far… (almost 40 now)
God I used to put this on by the bottle-full. I don’t know how my hair didn’t fall out. My scalp used to hurt from applying it.
Water, Hydrogen Peroxide, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Lemon Juice, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Extract, Hydroxyethyl Cetyldimonium Phosphate, Dimethicone PEG-7 Phosphate, Glycerin, Quaternium-80, Panthenol, Silk Amino Acids, …

This sh!t turned my hair red; I used it anyway, but I ended up with a reverse skunk stripe…very 90’s.

Far left, the foul look on her face.
My mom wouldn’t let me use it and I’m still resentful 😡
Lol turned my hair orange lol
6th grade, my best friend swore by this, so I tried it. She’s blonde. I have auburn hair. It did not go well😆
I remember using that stuff and it turned my hair orange. My hair dresser gave me the real blonde for like $10 extra
Omg yes!! Turned your hair orange
Me too! Forgot about until now
Break out the iodine and baby oil!
My sister tried this one summer. Wound up going woefully awry. 😁
You could have saved some $ by just using hydrogen peroxide and lemon juice.
I was just telling a 17 yo hostess at my job to get some of this! I don’t even know if it still exists but it should
