Used this all the time in the 80s. The chances that this stuff was a carcingen is like 110%. It smelled like cancer.
My sisters put this stuff on my jet black hair when we we’re young. My hair turned a burnt orange color so I shaved my head. Last time I was their brother Guinea pig
DIY not super cancerous sun in:
Make strong chamomile tea. Really strong. Add lemon juice, some salt and a very small amount of hydrogen peroxide. Done

This sh!t turned my hair red; I used it anyway, but I ended up with a reverse skunk stripe…very 90’s.
I used this in the 80s. There was another one with a different name and it was straight bleach. Totally fried my hair to the point it was gummy and I couldn’t pull a comb through it. I thinking it was called Summer Blonde (?) Good times!
