I do think there is an argument to be made that 7th did a good job of building on 6th but incorporating much more online gaming. I’d give it to 7th gen. But, I’m not mad if 6th wins out in the end.
No, not really, it’s just nostalgic for someone as me who was born a few years before ps2 launched, it had great franchises and great games sure, but it just doesn’t compare to the current gen, indie developers are an all time high, depending on your prefered system you get great exclusives, mostly Nintendo and Sony, from a technical standpoint the switch already outperforms any gen 6 console, and games has a lot more to choose from.
Regardless of that i still love the Gen6 mostly the PS2 because it’s the one i had, but it doesn’t compare, so no it’s not the best.

For me personally Genesis/SNES was the greatest, this being a very close second
