311 is not key
Miss those times
“I think he’s doing the head bang thing too much”.
“It’s really all he’s got.”
I always have to say chill. It is so.
Awesome. I remember the first time after getting my license, driving by myself and playing grassroots. Man, I fucking loved 311 in high school. Ha.
Why do 311’s guitars always sound like plastic
90s Nick Hexum was hot then and hot now.
And 2020s Nick Hexum is also nice. Dude has good genes.
Whiplash just from watching it , but I love it!
Saw them right out of high school in the 90’s and just saw them about two months ago, they sound exactly the same, same energy, lots of grey hair… Made me feel old
Investigate 311
There’s a longer cut of this where letterman starts a screaming GO HUSKERS while introducing them. Extremely mid 90s time capsule
Oh man, I LOVED this song when it first came out and I still love it to this day.
P-nut always got them crazy legs
I’d that u/setherverman ?
Fuck yeah love that band, back when shit actually used to rock
311 is a GOOD band
That song is a fucking banger, brings me back to middle school ‘96
Everyone: “What part of California are you from, 311?”
311: “Ne… Nebraska…”
311 was an inside job
“Investigate .. 311”
Literally have never felt so old. Is this what Boomers feel like watching old clips of Elvis on Ed Sullivan?
I should’ve known the internet was toxic when someone on ICQ Chat said I loved the KKK because I was a 311 fan (K is the 11th letter of the alphabet).
A couple of random 311 stories:
– My 8 year old son loves them. I let him look through my old CDs and choose something, he was immediately drawn to the fiery sun.
– My Mom once tried to be cool by saying she “Got the 311” (she was trying to say she’s got the 411, but mixed them up because I graduated in ‘96 and listened to 311 all the time). Bless her heart, we laughed our asses off at that one together.
– I moved out at 19, listening to the Grassroots album. Just like the song says, I was 19 & I’d do anything, shit like that now scares me but I’d like to do it again.
I remember seeing this on Letterman when I was a kid. I asked my dad who they were and he said “some garage band.”
My favorite band of all time. They are so good live.
That shit was an inside job, bro!
I’ve seen them live 3 different times. I love when they all bust out the congo drums. One of my all time favorite bands and like em or not you have to respect they’ve had the same members this whole time.
