What game is this ? It gives me legend of Zelda vibes
I played the SNES Mystic Quest til the battery died…then played it in binges to complete without powering down the system.
So was this a port from the Super Famicon game then or did the GB version come first? Btw, where do i get one of them slick ass, sick ass Deutsch mono colour GameBoys; is there like an equivalent to Craigslist in Germany?
oh my god mystic quest was my childhood! my dad introduced me to it. i remember how lost i was after falling down the waterfall because i couldn’t read at that time and didn’t know what to do lol. and the map! i still have it. such a great game.
Sprechen sie deutsch? Sehr gut!
How the hell is your cartridge battery still alive after all these years?! Mine died and killed my save games when I was 14….
Loved when a game came with a paper map…
I’d definitely suggest “Adventures of Mana” if you want to play a modern (Graphical Mainly) update of this game. Also, “Sword of Mana” if you want to play a full remake with a rejiggered story / combat / abilities / etc. while still (Very Loosely) following the same beats.
Man that’s badass. Been curious of this title for a while.
Wait mystic quest was the first?
Probably my second RPG, after Link’s Awakening, but technically my first Final Fantasy game even though I didn’t realise it was a Final Fantasy game until years later because I also knew it as Mystic Quest.
I still have my box and map as well – and I replayed the game last year on Nintendo Switch, but using my original map from the GameBoy version. It still holds up pretty well!
I feel like I played this on SNES when I was a kid. Am I mistaken?
I thought this looked vaguely familiar. I had a friend who loaned me a few of the early Gameboy Final Fantasy titles. IIRC, I played through Adventure 1 and Legend II and III. Loved them all, but Adventure was an awesome combination of Zelda and JRPG.
Oh man, I remember playing this absurdly much. I found a great spot to grind exp where I could easily go and throw my spear and kill multiple mobs and then out again.
Oh, and the 8nyounhad to run around the bushes in the forest to open some cabe? That took forever to figure out!
OMG, this gem… Spent so many hours on this… Thanks for the good memories 🙂
I replayed this so many times. It was so broken (funny/easy) if you put all stats in one field like attack.

The boss theme go hard af
This brings back memories. I got stuck at the “plam trees and 8” riddle. Tried to solve it for literal years (the internet of today didn’t exist then). Never solved it. It haunted me ever since. Now that I’m older I’m afraid to look it up, cause I have the feeling that I had the solution (run around 2 palmtrees in a figure 8) but did not execute it right and got stuck all this years for nothing…
Mine was Dragon Warrior Monsters.
Lol, my first RPG and first FF game. Though I played on the SNES.
Die Karte ist schön! 🤩
Cure… Thats all it took…
