Why? Do they get free gas?
Why are line ups to vote in the US so long? I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than 5 minuets.
I voted long ago from my couch. Mail in voting is the way it should be. Here in Oregon, we have close to the highest percentage of people voting in the U.S.
We did mail-in. 69° and took 5min.
Absentee ballots. There is no fucking reason to not do it this way, and honestly it should be even easier than that. We trusted the results of American fucking idol, we can make voting easier.
Where is this?
Ahh Zoo Town…. I think so many people were going to the “Elections Center” and not realizing they should look up their actual polling place. My spot was pretty empty & easy around 6-7ish (mine was only 8 blocks away from your spot, off 11th). Took two minutes to look up online.
One party dedicates itself to making voting as hard to do as possible because statistically low voter turnout correlates to them winning.

I love the three arrow signs each pointing in a different direction.
If America wants to be the “pillar of democracy” it has always claimed to be, then we need to start making voting universally accessible, fast, and easy to do. And we need to shove anti-democracy fascists out of the way and stop treating their bullshit as if it has any viability to a functional republic.
No, mail-in ballots and early voting are not rife with fraud. No, the 2020 election was not stolen. No, we don’t need endless, crazy, lying political ads invading our lives every other year. It’s not supposed to be this hard and stressful. Other countries do this stuff way better than us and we need to catch up.
Your (US). Voting. System. Is. So. Broken.
My polling site had 30 stations, 10 poll workers and about 5 people an hour going to vote.
25 degrees in most of the world would be t-shirt and shorts weather.
<laughs in Celsius >
Fahrenheit. That’s important.
I thought this was a pop up Dollar General
I’m glad my state has early voting now. I didn’t have to worry if there’d be a line at my polling place or not.
Oh this is the other 25 degrees
This just makes voting so unappealing especially to the young people coming up. There just has to be a better system in place. We have means to send man made objects to foreign alien planets millions of light years away BUT can’t figure out an efficient voting system that doesn’t require risking ones well-being?
I really don’t understand this bc if asked 90% of voters would say they don’t approve of the overall approach of our government….if we stood together in these numbers we could definitely affect real change like stopping congress from investing (inside trading), somehow getting the homeless off the streets(and out of the woods) and the uninsured taken care of.
Taxes are cool huh? What do you like yours being spent on? War? Roads🤣? Or environmental protection?
Idk, just seems to me you all are afraid to bite the hand that feeds type shiit
I’ve also always been sorta ashamed to be an American bc of how the people are…. people care more about watching adults play with balls than people being housed.
Your celebrities are getting more and more stupid which is fitting for their followers bc their is a war going on for your mind and most of you are losing.
It’s so sad…but hey, I just sit upon high and watch it all go down.
This is why there needs to be universal mail in voting as an option with no requirement for needing a reason.
in my country every voting is on a sunday when everyone has free, except gas Stations and critical infrastructure.
You guys should vote on Sundays instead of Tuesdays.
25F is -3.9°C in real money.
That’s a bit nippy, but why the shitting hell are your lines so long? USA unable/unwilling to pay for people to man the stations, or deliberate voter disenfranchisement?
I’ve voted in California for almost two decades, and I’ve never had to wait more than 15 minutes. I’ve even been able to walk to polling places a few times. All Californians can vote by mail now too.
Anyone outside of the US, know that when you see this, it is because whatever state it’s in has done their damnedest to make it hard to vote.
