The crayons and construction paper are so weird and out of place in this shot. Totally breaks my immersion in an otherwise completely believable and realistic image.
When I was in middle school (circa 1997) kids used to collect Got Milk and Absout ads, and put them in a binder with page protectors. Anyone else remember this, or was it just my weird NJ town?
Dairy industry is horrific. For anyone who doesn’t know, look at Dairy is Scary. Now you know there’s something wrong with dairy, you have an obligation to know what it is.

I feel like there was another Nintendo “Got Milk” ad. Maybe it was Pokemon?

Those “Got Milk?” Adverts were everywhere in the 90’s. The dairy industry really lobbied to force their bovine breastmilk on everyone.
On no he’s loose!
mario looks like he just gave some real sloppy toppy

Mario about to jump on your growing bone.
Damn that’s creepy
I love these style if ads. The nostalgia of buying a magazine at indigo/chapters and going home to read the whole thing. Good times
So for any marketing or US historians: what was the goal of the whole Got Milk campaign?
Was it to promote some health agenda? A specific company(s) involved?
In hindsight I do find it odd we got pummeled with commercials for a generic product.
