What’s freaky about this is that while most of them are saying it couldn’t replace them specifically, most, even the doctor say it could be a first year or young professional.
How insane is chat GPT going to be in a year from now after several hundred million people like myself fill it will data, questions, and ratings of its output? Couple that with the billion in funding they have likely already lined up and we are in for a wild ride of mass unemployment. Except unlike automation that killed blue collar, this is automating thinking that will kill white collar.
Edit: it’s even freakier when I realized they are asking a single question with limited context and no re writes, and still most are getting legitimate results. Due to recent events in my life I have been applying for jobs and I use chat GPT for my custom cover letters. At first I asked simple requests like they did, and the results were Meh. When I gave chatgpt my resume and the job description, told it not to cite anything specific from either but to rephrase in a concise clear way, the cover letters it produced require minimal to no edits. It’s already better than me at my own voice after half a day of data input.
