This kids are going places. great job
Damn these kids have talent.
Honestly good on their parents for using their means to give these kids the ability to stretch their wings
They seem awfully young to have been a garage band for twelve years.
This was 6 years ago. They should all be 18-ish now. Wonder what they’re up to today.
I’m a teacher. Many are tricked by our society to think that success in academics is the only form of success that matters at a young age. It’s a metric that has cast a shadow on our society – esp our view on learning and whose knowledge counts.
My dream is that I inspire my students to chase their passions like these kids. They are harnessing so many life skills by successfully practicing/performing as a legit band.
The most important skill you can have as a person is…COMMUNICATION. Across all disciplines, above any skill level – ones ability to communicate (speaking and listening) your ideas clearly is invaluable.
I have lots of education, doesn’t really mean shit. I have friends with very little education who are millionaires because they have the gift of gab and a well-rounded personality. The common denominator is a productive childhood where they honed in on passions instead of dicking around within the ether of childhood.
Life rewards you for effort and participation, not perfection or luck. These boys will go so far as long as they keep going and keep participating 👊
I feel like these guys should meet [these ladies](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5AhU5Q7vH0). Dunno why.
They grew up. Still an amazing lead guitar player for sure. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OMqm26j5f4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OMqm26j5f4)

The most impressive part to me is that the volume levels are all properly set instrument by instrument. I’ve seen countless adult bands who couldn’t begin to get that right.
I really appreciate when kids do group activities and help each other grow their skills in any kind of field. I think with the techno-boom and the isolation from social media we will need to be more proactive and encourage our youth to have more social interactions outside of school.
Alright! This is our moment for momentum and I am going to show up in baby blue shorts. Love it. The boys nailed it!
was the bass just ultra out of tune?
That lead guitarist can freakin play! Did not expect him to hit the solo the way he did.
What about those two knuckleheads who walked right through the stage!? Couldn’t wait another 40 seconds? Have to just barge through their stage at the crescendo!? Fuck those people.
Holy shit this is the real school of rock
Crazy good in almost every regard, age aside.
The breath control of the vocalist is impressive
It bothers me that I will never as cool as that fucking lead guitarist rocking out at 12. I’ve had like 3x as many years on earth to try an achieve something like that… and I’ve got nothin…
“She’s got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories”
So, like, this morning?
“flat. so flat. i can’t even, i don’t even kno. you dont even look good while your singing. the worst thing i’ve ever heard. This is 1200 dollars a week for voice lessons and this is what I get? … ok, I’m gonna save it with the solo. “
The garage didn’t look twelve, first of all, and it didn’t play a single instrument. TF OP, you lied.
Damn these kids rocking Gibsons, Fenders and Marshall stacks – easily $10-15k of equipment right there.
This is right next to Liuzza’s and is probably after a day of Jazz Fest in New Orleans. I may have been there.
These kids fucking shred! Who knew the secret to wailing like Axel is as simple as just not hitting puberty…
That crowd is legit better than most crowds for professional bands.
As I look back on my life and contemplate the EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE in my ears the only thing I can say is I hope they’re wearing proper ear protection. Proper hearing is so precious, I wish people valued it more. I wish I’d known better.
Ok, can we talk about the singers Janice Jopliny sound? He may not have the most range, but holy shit being that young and knowing when and where to make the song bend to your range is incredible.
The guitar player is going to be fighting girls (or guys if he prefers) off with a stick.
All of them are impressive, but my favorite part is that the singer, in spite of his obvious swagger, is dressed like he just asked his mom if he can stay outside for another hour and play.
Clearly the lead guitarist has been to the crossroads.
Can you imagine being a teen band with Gibsons and Marshall’s?
Guitar player has good stage present. Backed up when it was time for the singer to take the spot. Great stage craft.
This kid knows the eternal struggle of the lead singer; “where do I put my hands?”
