Why are all these huge builds happening in minecraft, as opposed to Blender or sketchup or whatever user friendly 3D app makes sense, so that the resulting maps can be imported into other programs & games?
What is it about minecraft? Easiest user interface for 3d building? Most enjoyable user experience for 3d building?

I’ve had the game in my inventory for a long time and tried along time ago and almost instantly gave up.
Edit: this was on PS4 as the online was just starting to be available for the platform.

2731 people spent god knows how many hours building this 1:1 replica of New York City in Minecraft, and all you can say is it’s cool?
Why was it built angled? Seems like it made it unneededly more difficult and slightly not great looking?
